For the first time in Graz, LAB51 presents a bold new program featuring the latest song cycle by Beltrán Gonzáles for voice, piano, and electronics.

The program also includes The Cold Trip – Part II by Bernhard Lang, a striking continuation of Lang’s exploration of repetition, memory, and fragmentation. Inspired by Schubert’s Winterreise, this powerful work reimagines the Romantic journey through a contemporary sonic landscape, blending voice, piano, and live electronics into a haunting and hypnotic experience.

Adding a virtuosic and theatrical dimension to the evening, LAB51 performs Mysteries of the Macabre by György Ligeti for coloratura soprano and piano — a dazzling, explosive work full of dark humor, dramatic extremes, and breathtaking vocal fireworks.
